It’s 27 m (89 ft) deep and has a surface area of approximately 7.93 km2 (3.06 sq mi).

It’s 30 km (18 m) around and mostly flat which makes this a delightful ride any time of the year.

Sun Moon Lake Bike ride

The east side of the lake resembles a sun while the west side resembles a moon, hence the name.

I would say loosely resembles.
